Tomato Leaf Candle

Finally, an excuse to use the fresh herbs you’ve been growing all summer - you stride barefoot over the freshly-cut lawn to the raised bed crowded with greenery. The sun warms the back of your neck as you lean over to clip waxy stalks of basil. Next comes tomatoes fresh from the vine, and you crush a leaf between your fingers to enjoy the aroma. Before heading back inside you drop the leaf into the compost and its own faint musky scent. There’s nothing quite like homemade.
